SENSE / SELF is the inaugural issue of SRZ (Skid Row Zine), an independent zine celebrating the faces, voices, and most importantly, the creativity of the artists and writers in Skid Row. SENSE / SELF features nine paired self-portraits, some visual, some written, and some a combination of both. The written work is a poetic essay inspired by a lifetime of sense memories, while the visual component needs only to represent some aspect of the artist’s sense of him or herself.
